Add REDACTOR integration for wysiwyg

I myself have been struggling a lot with nice wysiwyg editors a lot. I find most of them not very design friendly, and many pose problems when it comes to pasting text. I find the "redactor" editor very convenient, but it is not a free editor. I have no skills or whatsoever in integrating editors, but I think this editor would really add something to drupal. There are a few questions I have:

  • Is there a guide that helps me with integrating a basic editor (by assigning a class to a text area element and adding the js files)
  • Is the community willing to use an editor obtained illegally?

Spark: WYSIWYG editors evaluation — call for feedback!

For the Spark project, we're looking for a WYSIWYG editor. It must work well on mobile devices, hence HTML5 is pretty much a necessity. A WYSIWYG editor still involves a lot of JavaScript, so solid JavaScript is also important.

However, for the Spark project, the WYSIWYG goal is somewhat different than the "typical" WYSIWYG goal. We're looking for a "true WYSIWYG" editor, which we can define as a WYSIWYG that matches all CSS selectors identically like the eventual document would.

Wysiwyg GESHI Filter Integration

Hello,

I am trying to integrate GESHI filter for syntax highlighting.
But the problem is when I use the filter tags ( , etc.), they get filtered by the editor itself.
Is there a proper way to resolve this

Thanks.

Wordpress-like TinyMCE configuration

Is there any way I can make TinyMCE behave the same way it does in Wordpress (same buttons, same order, same "advanced" toolbar)?
If there is any, has anyone managed to accomplish that?

    Google Closure

Today Google announced general availability of it's set of javascript tools called Closure. The set includes a Javascript compiler, library and template engine. In the javascript library they include an api for using their text editor. This is the same text editor used in many of Google's web applications like Google Docs, Google Wave, and Gmail... apparently.
