BabelUp is a social network for social activism. That is, it's a fun community to hang out in with friends and discuss global issues. The Gnomepal project is still brewing, and the communication tools are coming together - the hope is to build Gnomepal.org as a live sandbox for groups / communities, as what's the point of building a community tool if the community itself can't use it?
For collaboration or general discussion, I have these vehicles at my immediate disposal until we have everything assembled properly on Gnomepal.org itself:

New Drupal Project - OpenSocial
This is just a quick note to let you all know I have created a new project to support the APIs provided by Google as part of the OpenSocial Project. Of course, this is all brand new, so we're not exactly sure how it's going to work with Drupal, but I'm definitely interested in getting you all onboard!
