Views is a very powerful and well-known module that allows site builders the ability to display content in just about any way imaginable. Today's meeting we're going to share some cool tips and tricks we have learned to make views do some interesting things. Some examples:

• Change the title to an external link if a field is filled out (without using PHP filter).
• Put together a simple slideshow.

The Apache Solr module works great at providing faceted search for a single site, but what if you have content across multiple sites and want to provide a single place to search it all?

Having problems dealing with the white screen of death on a Drupal site? This presentation will present some of the available tools, processes, and modules that will help with the debugging process. Feel free to come prepared with questions about your own problem sites.

With Drupal 8, there comes an entirely new theming system. When starting out, you'll likely have many questions. How does Twig differ from PHPTemplate? Where do you start with building a new theme in Drupal 8? How are themes structured now? This presentation will dive into these questions and more as we take an introductory look at building templates in Twig.

In the spirit of the holidays we're doing a "module potluck". We want you to come and share modules you have found that you think are really awesome, but perhaps are not so well known. Most people know about Views, CKEditor and the other most installed modules. We want to learn about some of the hidden treasures.

We will walk through how to Contribute to the Drupal 8 User Guide. There are several pages available to write. We will review the process for writing a user guide page and the guidelines for contribution. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and provide commits without needing to write code. This is the first online user guide for Drupal.

Drush is a very powerful command-line utility to interface with Drupal. If you are developing or managing lots of Drupal sites, it is almost a requirement to make your life so much easier. This talk I will walk through how to create your own custom drush command for your Drupal website.
