Free (pratically - $20) Drupal Training in Iowa
You may have heard a lot about the DrupalCorn Camp 2012 but there is also a pre-camp Training Day that you may consider attending. Although the courses are not totally free, at $20 (lunch included) this is a nominal fee.
Chris Shattuck and Michael Hofmockel are executing two all day training courses that will run the day before the camp.

Iowa Drupal Users Group Meeting, "DrupalCorn Camp 2012 Organizing" - July 30
DrupalCorn Camp 2012 is coming up fast! Our normally scheduled monthly meeting is going to be hijacked to help get people organized and prepared for the event. If you are going or would like to volunteer, please consider coming to this meeting to learn how we are going to put on an awesome event.
Since we know some of you will not be able to make it in person we will be documenting the information volunteers need to know so they can get a crash course at another time before or during the camp.

We are proud to announce DrupalCorn Camp 2012 to be held on the Iowa State University campus in Ames on August 3-4, 2012. If you are an open source enthusiast, Drupal designer, hacker, geek, Drupal developer, UI expert, IT manager, or you just want to find out what this Drupal thing is, this conference is for you!
May Meeting Canceled
Just an FYI. Our regularly scheduled meeting for this month falls on Memorial Day, May 28. We're canceling the meeting. If you want to hang out online anytime, there are a few of us on IRC at #drupalcorn on irc.freenode.net.

- Current proposal is August 3/4 (Fri/Sat) in Ames or Des Moines with 200 attendees and two keynote speakers
