clean url problem with Korean/Chinese Characters (Unicodes)

For SEO and multilingual site, I want to use Korean or non-alphabetical characters in the url strings.

But I get crash/errors on the url with Korean characters in it.

Other rewrite is working fine-clean url.

Is there a way to configure web.config or something to make this work?
People always tell me to stop using IIS and change to linux, apache...etc.

Thank you for your advice and help!!

How do Modules work with Windows? Are there as many?

We are preparing to implement Drupal 7 for our content management, and are considering both WAMP and full Windows (I don't know what that is called). Are there as many extra modules if you use the full windows with SQL Server modules? Do you just use the same modules and change them somehow to work with SQL? Any insite is appreciated.

thanks
terri

High-profile sites running Drupal on Windows

Can anyone provide a list of high-profile sites that run Drupal on Windows in production? I have not seen a good list, despite searching http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-windows and http://groups.drupal.org/microsoft-servers

Inaccessible site

Hello everyone. I'm having trouble accessing a site migrated from Webenabled to my localhost. It seems that I lost access to the site following a Windows update. Please see attachment with screen shots for file structure, Drupal control panel, and databases as well as a detailed explanation. I am curious if anyone else has encountered a similar problem and if so, how did you solve it? Thank you.

Downloaded Commerce Guys Drupal v7.2, but receiving "security update" message for v.7.12?

My install is a local install with Windows+IIS+MSSQL, which was mentioned here: http://groups.drupal.org/node/121629.

I downloaded the Commerce Guys Drupal 7 download from http://microsoft.com/web/drupal, and it's working great. But as soon as I downloaded v.7.2 and installed it, I started seeing a "security update" message stating the following:

There is a security update available for your version of Drupal. To ensure the security of your server, you should update immediately! See the available updates page for more information and to install your missing updates.

Need help - Dynamic pages not rendering fine

Hi,

I recently installed Drupal 7 on Windows with Apache Web server (2.2) and PostGres DB. When I try to access the drupal site, I'm always seeing the directory listing and if I click on a specific php page, I'm able to see the HTML contents; but none of the dynamic features (search, filter, etc.) are working. I thought PHP wasn't installed fine; but if I throw in a simple PHP page with PHP functions, I'm able to get dynamic contents on the page. Is there any other configuration I need to do before I get started with my first site?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards,
Yogaesh

Windows optimisation

I'm doing some consulting work for a client where Linux is (unfortunately) not an option for any part of the stack.

The setup is:

  • Windows Server 2008 64bit
  • php 5.3.x
  • apache 2.2.x
  • mysql 5.x

Apart from getting APC to work, I'm looking for general pointers to making this not suck horribly from a performance point of view.

Drupal 7.0 On Windows Server 8 and IIS 7.5, PHP 5.3, MS SQL Server 2008

Greetings North County Group! I am a new member and new to Drupal. I am the Webmaster of the Social Services Agency at Orange County. We are currently exploring putting our Intranets on Drupal 7.0 On Windows Server 8 and IIS 7.5, using PHP 5.3, MS SQL Server 2008. Most of the documentation I have read pertains to Drupal on Apache using other databases. Does anyone have any experience on this particular platform?

Thanks
TainoTechy
