Berkeley Drupal Group - December 4th, Noon - 1:30pm - Project Management Systems
Update: Looks like we will meet on the first Thursday of December, since the last Thursday in November is Thanksgiving.
Our last BDUG meeting of 2008. It's been quite a year. Drupal 6 is now a solid product, with View & CCK releases, another win as Packets CMS of the year, and commercial support from Acquia. Enough to give everyone a warm glow. But we all still have work to do, and this month Jen Lampton and Chris Bryant will be leading us in a discussion about using Project Management Systems to get that work done.
Chris & Jen say:

Berkeley Drupal Group - Thursday October 23rd, Noon - 1:30pm - Wikis & Drupal
Let's recover from BADCamp with a discussion of what it takes to build a Wiki in Drupal. It can be done, but can it be done well?

Planning BADCamp08
Folks,
After talking with Tao at the last meeting I'm going to go ahead and start pulling together all the people who are interested in helping with our Fall BADCamp. First thing I'm going to do is make a round and talk to all those who helped with the last one and those who have already expressed an interest in helping out this time around. After that I'll likely schedule an organizational meeting so we can all get in the same room to work out details. Please stay posted here for more info as it develops. Please feel free to be in touch if you have any questions, either on- or off-line.
Regards,
Dan

The discussion for BADCamp 08 got underway at yesterday's BDUG meeting. I followed up with one of our administrators to get the dates of weekends in late September - early November when space is available, and there is no Cal football happening on campus (so parking is less of an issue than it was last year). It seems like there are two prime dates: Sept 20th & 21st, and October 11th & 12th. Of these two I am leaning towards October, so we are not too close to DrupalCon Szeged (which is the last week of August).

The Berkeley Drupal Users Group now has it's own g.d.o: http://groups.drupal.org/berkeley-users-group-bdug.
This group replaces the old BDUG site at http://drupal.citris-uc.org. Thanks to the sexy new og_panels features, I don't need to maintain a separate site just to support our user group. And now I can't just cross post to the Bay Area group with the click of a checkbox, rather than copy-and-pasting each month.
Berkeley Drupal Group - Thursday June 26th, Noon - 1:30pm - Networking Site Case Study and Patterns
Greetings Bay Area Drupallers,
Join us this Thursday to hear a talk by Chris Bryan, of Gravitek Lab. Chris is a long time BDUG member and on of the BADCamp organizers. Here is his description of his talk:
"We'll walk through a new networking and collaboration platform (http://dreamfish.com) that Gravitek Labs is about to launch. We'll look at the major components that make up the site such as cck types, views, panels 2, and theming as well as custom work extending panels 2 that was done for the project.
