How to send notifications only for OA team members?
I have a rule to send an html mail when new content is created, but is not respecting the user permission to access content.
Is an Open Atrium site that works with OG. I have a space with 7 teams and only team members can view team contents (7 sections asociated to 7 teams). All users have the same role (filter by role is not a solution for me).
The content type in question have two entity reference fields: group audience and section (one per team).

I want authenticated users of my PTO website (running on D7) to request automatic email notifications when various kinds of content (based on taxonomy terms or content types or authors, etc.). What do people think about using Notifications module vs. Subscriptions module?

I am trying to get email notifications working on my site. I have been looking at various options and tried a few and so far been unable to anything to work. What I am looking for is similar to what this site is doing where new posts automatically notify users and the user can choose to op-in, op-out, get each post as a separate e-mail or a daily digest if posts.
I would appreciate any information on the subject.

I've been receiving duplicate notifications for posts in the same group lately. It's not every message, but it is happening frequently. The messages have identical content, but the message IDs are different when I view source.
I've been dealing with a similar issue locally, so it was kind of nice to see it happening here. Has anyone else been receiving duplicate notifications from Groups.drupal.org?

Something is seriously weird with my email notifications from g.d.o. A few weeks ago I changed my email address on my d.o. profile, and now I'm getting notifications randomly sent to the old AND new address!
Read moreUsing rules to send a reminder (alarm) to the assignee of a case and instead of the author of a node
I am using Rules to send a reminder for cases in open atriums case tracker based on a date field. I came quite far (http://drupal.org/node/652158), but I'm having trouble sending the mail to the right user. Right now, the mail goes to the author of the node. I would like it to go the assigned user for that case however. The assignee is not a content field, but a custom value created by the case tracker module. In views I can use case tracker fields, but the case tracker context doesn't show up in the rules argument data type list.

The email notification links for a closed discussion should not contain the link for the Post Reply since none can be added. This is confusing to any user but particularly someone new. Maybe the text should read "Post reply: Closed discussion".

But I realized belatedly that it might be better to address this to those with multisite experience.
I have drupal 6.3 installed and run about 20 other TLDs (site1.com, site2.com, etc., all folders located in the /sites directory) off that single installation. Everything works fine, with one exception.
I've noticed that the standard php mail functions (for user registration and webforms, for example) work for the parent installation, but uniformly do not work for the child subdomain installations.
