Sydney Drupal Social Meetup
We're trying something new this month - a social only meetup! There will be no formalities or sessions, just come over to the pub to have a chat or a drink.
We've got space booked upstairs at Trinity Bar in Surry Hills. If you are new to the community, just look for the group with the most laptops per person. Feel free to bring your laptop or just some questions, if you need help or advice.

Sydney Drupal Group - Meetup + Feedback
Happy New Year Everyone!
We'll be doing something a little different for the first meetup of 2014.
Firstly, we'll be celebrating Drupal turning 13 years old! Drupal 1.0 was released on Jan 15th, 2001. See the post from the DA for a few more details about other activities including Dries's Reddit AMA and a birthday sprint for anyone interested.
The second thing we'll be doing is discussing ideas and making plans for the rest of 2014. If you're new to the group, don't be put off, your input into these discussions are important too. It will also be a good time to socialise and talk shop for people less interested in making plans.

Drupal work opportunity in Sydney, site creation, some AJAX/front end
I won't post this to jobs but if you're a Drupal developer in Sydney who's interested in a few weeks work (at least) with a cool digital agency, please contact me directly for more information.
Broadly speaking it's creating a new site from the ground up, and also some javascript/AJAX work to enable searching of that site remotely. Something of mid-level complexity which would look good on your résumé.

I am relatively new to Drupal and some skill in HTML and CSS, I have created one site.
There's a possibility of me being landing 2 more sites in the coming weeks to build, Is there anybody out there willing to offer a hand on these projects and future projects, obliviously you will be payed for your time and effect

Drupal 8 Tour Writing Sprint

Drupal 8 comes with a great new user-help feature in Tour module.

So we have this great API and feature in core, but we need help creating tours for end users and site-builders.
So to get some momentum on this front, we're holding a Tour sprint in the first week of November in Sydney.
