Piwik

I'm trying to make use of Perusio's Piwik config alongside his Drupal config. I've copied the Piwik config files to /etc/nginx/apps/piwik/ and created a .conf file using the subdomain suggested (stats.example.com). This has the include to /apps/piwik.conf in it, as per the example conf file provided.

Do I need to add a DNS record/'officially' create a subdomain to run Piwik from that URL? If possible, I'd rather use an example.com/piwik structure, but that's proving tricky.

I noticed many/most of you (us?) seem to use Google Analytics. Have any of you been using Piwik and have any insight into how/why you made that choice? Aside from the local vs. cloudsource nature, any salient feature differences that swayed your decision?

Ett nyhetsbrev från SourceForge gjorde mig uppmärksam på en lösning för analys av webbtrafik: Piwik. Givetvis var jag tvungen att kolla om det fanns en Drupalmodul för Piwik, och visst gör det det. (Det finns till och med två som lanserades nästan samtidigt, men de håller på att slås samman.)
