Best way to create a single Person node-type that can serve as author, but also as source

In the Virtual Newsroom that we are making at MSU, we are going to start having participants create a person node for each source they talk with for a given story (even if that person is not quoted) and associate sources with stories in which they are used. In terms of OpenPublish architecture over time, should I use Author for this? Should I make a master Person node type myself? Is there a better way to deal with this that I am not considering?

En una reunión vitual por gtalk: Freddy, Fernando y yo, creamos una lista de inscripción para tener los datos a la mano de los miembros que deseen compartir con los demás para estar en contacto.

La idea es tener una lista temporal, mientras vamos construyendo nuestra página web, donde ya se podrá manejar esta información de manera centralizada.

Working with the church staff

Okay, I just removed my previous post. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I think everyone here can post full stories when they have something interesting. Bah. ;)

Anyway, I did want to make a post about the management aspect of running a church web site. This isn't particularly related to og or even Drupal, but I did want to make a few comments since I've been the volunteer webmaster of our church for three years.
