Our mission is to provide an open and timely forum to discuss Drupal-based issues for the Tucson and Southern Arizona community. Potential discussion topics include "Should I choose Drupal?", "Building a Drupal Site Step-by-Step", and "Theming in Drupal for Designers".
Bookmans Entertainment Exchange is willing to sponsor the group and host monthly meetings. Interest in Drupal is growing quickly in Tucson. On March 3, 2009, Bookmans itself released its new Drupal 6 website, http://bookmans.com. The University of Arizona has also recently announced its official support for Drupal, http://drupal.arizona.edu/. The Tucson Digital Arts community (http://tucsondigitalarts.com/) has also expressed interest. Our goal is to foster development of Drupal, and even encourage the release, support and maintenance of modules.
We welcome anyone with an interest in Drupal.
Dries Day November 19th, more info at http://www.facebook.com/driesday
There's Earth Day for the planet and now there's Dries Day for Drupal. To celebrate, we're asking everyone in the community to spend the day on Drupal community projects: plan a camp, do a training, work on modules, push code, write documentation, read about Drupal 8 or whatever you find interesting. This is not a bad price to pay for all the great stuff in Drupal. If you're an employer, we encourage you to give your employees a paid day to work on Drupal.
It's simple to participate:

Due to scheduling conflicts, the evening PHXDUG Meetup has moved from the 4th Wednesday to the 4th Tuesday of the month, and tomorrow's (Wed. Sep. 26) Meetup has been cancelled. Sorry if that disrupts anyone's plans, but it couldn't be helped.
And since this new schedule would land us directly on Christmas, we will also not be having an evening meet up in December, though we're still planning on holding the monthly co-working day.

Read moreStudent at the U of A that has a existing drupal site and would love some guidance
Hi,
My name is Matthew and I am a student at the University of Arizona. I created a drupal site around October and now has grown very rapidly. I do not have any coding background but am pretty good at using drupal. There are a couple modules that I want to add to my site but just can not find them or know if they even exist. If anyone would be willing to sit down for a little with me maybe at a place like coffee exchange (coffee on me) to help me out that would be awesome!
Thanks!
