Vancouver

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Welcome to VANDUG!

The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.

The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.

We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

Drupal Project - help needed

Hi there,

I am working on a drupal project and need help from an expert drupal developer. The idea is to create a number of custom modules. I would like to work together with some one that has good experience and knows the drupal framework very well. This is a side project, not a full time project. The project has huge growing potential. I will explain all the details in person.

If someone is interested please contact me via my personal contact form at http://groups.drupal.org/user/15781/contact.

Thanks

Modification issue in Drupal installation

Hi I'm a Drubie (Drupal Newbie) but I've already finished my first site in Drupal on my personal LAMP server, it's for the student union at SFU that I'm involved in. Now I'm in the process of trying to transfer the site to SFU's servers, my Drubieness is getting me stuck and I was wondering if anyone could lend some advice.

This is what the webmaster I spoke to told me about getting Drupal to run on their servers:

i am looking for some help

I am very new to using drupal and have been teaching myself. I do not have a tech background either. I was wondering if there might be anyone out there that would or could provide some tutoring/mentoring type help. I am not asking for a lot nor will I abuse it. I generally like to figure things out myself but find I am getting stuck on a few things and am not getting better at understanding or using drupal. I have completed one site already for a former boss; its not great and is very basic, but its not hideous either.

Drupal Haus...

Okay just an awesome Idea that came to me the other night..
Why do we all collectively make others more rich by paying them over-inflated housing costs?
Can't we band together as drupallers! In our own house.

The ad reads.. 10 Awesome Drupal Enthusiasts seeks large house.
-In a central Vancouver location.

I'm thinking cheap rent, save like students.
And do house Projects, build a name and eventually pay rent with the money earned doing development work.
Yes this involves a lot of trust and freespirit, and I'm willing to do most of the work.. Who's with me.
