This is the group for you if you would just like to use a CRM solution for Drupal and want to weigh in on features and ideas. It's also a good place to read or post announcements about modules and other projects that are ready for testing and use.
This group is a user-focused parallel to the CRM API group, which is more about the nuts and bolts about building CRM tools. If you are actively working on building a CRM solution for Drupal, please consider participating in both groups.

Last Tuesday I did a 20 minute demo of RedHen CRM at the PDUG meetup here in PDX.
This demo was based upon a sandbox sample install profile (and make file) at:
http://drupal.org/sandbox/seanberto/1490420
We'd love for you to check out the project. The sandbox is a lot like Commerce Kickstarter, in that it simply provides an example of what you can do with RedHen.
A quick run down of what you might want to check out in the distro:
- Ability to manage custom entity bundles for contacts and organizations.

Retaining students in higher education is a big challenge as colleges and universities struggle to maintain a high level of customer service in the face of tightening budgets and larger student populations. We at Cal State Monterey Bay are no different, and have been working on a Drupal install profile to help make our faculty, advisors, and support staff more efficient when working with students.

Nice to talk to you all this morning. Here's one of the user stories I'm starting to work from.
This is for a volunteer organization, and very back-burner for me at the moment, but something we've started to explore.
The organization does events, 15 - 20 per year, and is almost entirely volunteer run, with one staff person to manage everything. There are three main types of people they want to manage:
- Sponsors
- Volunteers - multiple types: board, program committee, program lead, other committee
- Speakers

Read moreCRM systems compatible with drupal
Hi,
We are looking to build a new site in Drupal and I was wondering if there was a list of compatible CRM Systems that we can review?
The current CRM System that is being used is MS CRM. Is this compatible with Drupal? What are other CRM systems that are compatible with Drupal - e.g. Salesforce.
I'm currently just after a list of compatible systems to review the pros and cons of each.
Thanks!

This discussion will be used as a placeholder for some examples of how workflows are treated in various CRM systems. Feel free to add additional examples or make comments. The first example is Salesforce...you can view the demo at

I've also attached a few screenshots. Enjoy.

In the skype party discussion today we talked about an example in which a "contact" would get turned into an "organization".
One example would be in a sales process. In this type of example, a "lead" will be person or organization in the system without much information. In B2B often times all you have is the organization info. As the "lead" is contacted, info and activities get added (calls, meetings, etc...).

Why not use CiviCRM? (Why we want to make a fully Drupal based CRM)
Last updated by yautja_cetanu on Fri, 2011-09-30 09:51
I think this question seems to come up a few times. I've created this as a wiki page because I do not feel I am best placed to answer this question due to my limited interaction with CiviCRM (Which I actually really like). But I feel like it will probably come up so others, feel free to get involved in this page and clear up my english and reasoning. I definitely welcome re-wording of some of my points.

Read moreDrupal CRM Requirements
A list of functional requirements for a potential CRM system follows after interviews with nine people with interest in the Drupal CRM system. These include a CRM for running the congregation of a church, a mass emailer, a real estate business, a large American civic association, a small bank, and a political party. The main problem with current implementation is either that the CRM is not integrated fully with drupal (CiviCRM) or simply that the development effort is too great to create the functionality from scratch.
