Discussions and wikis
South Denver Drupal Meetup
A meeting of Drupal users from the south Denver metro area: Denver Tech Center, Lone Tree, Parker, Highlands Ranch ... you get the idea.
Drupal meet-ups are where members of the Drupal open source community gather to share knowledge, tips, and fellowship. We mostly look like web designers, web developers, user interface experts, mobile device application developers -- anyone with an interest in the Drupal open source content management platform.
If you're a Drupal developer or user, or interested in learning more about Drupal, come join us!

This month we're going to change our meeting format a little bit, to try to make it a little more welcoming to new community members. First: name tags! We'll have name tags and encourage everyone to use them to make it a little easier to talk to people we don't yet know.

David Arnold https://github.com/DavidXArnold https://drupal.org/user/2910487 (check out that uid!) will be walking through some of the more technical parts related to chef development. The presentation will cover the components of newmedia's skeleton chef cookbook and how we use them to rapidly test, deploy, and update a project. The skeleton that we have built leverages chef metadata and uses tools such as ruby linters, rake, rspec, and travis. The newmedia skeleton cookbook was spawned from our work on drupal-lamp and the drupal cookbook.

Boulder Drupal Meetup
Come on down to the Boulder Drupal Meetup for our next meeting at AppliedTrust!
I'm excited to have Brandon Williams (crazysix) come out and talk about the basics of building a Drupal 8 module.
In this discussion Brandon will run through some of the differences from D7 to D8, talk about how to get a basic module up and running, and lightly discuss OOP and other elements of D8.
Bring your questions because we will then open the floor to try and help with things you might be struggling with.
