Drupal for Activists, Organizers, and Social Change

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Using Drupal for good in nonprofits, community organizing, and social change work. #npdrupal

Monthly meetings by phone

Join us on the third Thursday of every month, at 1:00 PM U.S. Eastern for our group meeting by phone. View our next discussion date.

All calls are free and everyone is welcome! While "#npdrupal" refers to "nonprofit Drupal" (similar to "#nptech") our focus is broader than just nonprofit/NGO-specific uses of Drupal and encompasses all "Drupal for good" work like advocacy, community organizing, fundraising, and campaigns.

Our meetings take place at 1:00 PM US-Eastern/10:00 AM US-Pacific/19:00 CEST. (Convert to your local time zone.)

On June 5, individuals and organizations around the world will launch a campaign to promote the use of NSA-resistant tools to people who are unfamiliar with privacy options, and encourage websites to build security and privacy into their systems.

Note: This is quick and dirty for now; I'll go through and clean it up when I can. Feel free to add your own notes!

Case studies

  • Quaker cloud: focused on Quaker communities/congregations: http://www.fgcquaker.org/services/quaker-cloud Organic Groups is an amazing tool for building community (used in this system), uses Salesforce for CRM
  • Redesign for Lambda Legal. Did usability testing and integrated Solr search (vastly improved discoverability) http://www.lambdalegal.org/
