#ResetTheNet
Reset the Net is a global movement to take our privacy back and secure the Internet to defend against mass government surveillance organized by Fight for the Future, the same folks behind The Day We Fight Back, an effort earlier this year that Drupal.org joined in promoting.
On June 5, individuals and organizations around the world will launch a campaign to promote the use of NSA-resistant tools to people who are unfamiliar with privacy options, and encourage websites to build security and privacy into their systems.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to let you know that we've released a distro for eCampaigning and Online Fundraising called "Campaignion!". Would love to get your feedback!
It does things like setting up actions (e.g. petitions), donation pages and you can manage your supporters in the CRM system (built on the basis of the wonderful RedHen CRM created by thinkshout). From there we have a bunch of integrations for email marketing and things like payment processing.
The website explains the functionality in detail

I encourage all Occupy-Wall-Street supporters to register on my OWS writers' / leaders' site at http://ows.nottoolate.info . AND ask via email link to be an Editor. With your knowledge of Drupal you could (and would likely) more fully use all the tools I offer Editors and be a role model for the other Editors who are not Drupal-savvy, but could do stuff after seeing others do it.

I'm looking for modules that do the following 1) "email your leaders" function. Allowing users to send a standard or customised email to their political representatives. The correct political representative is identified using a zip code / post code search. New email campaigns can be set up fairly easily. 2) a basic petition signing module. Users simply enter a name and email and are then recorded as having signed the petition.
Can someone point me to a module or combination of modules that do the above. Thanks in advance for your help. Alex

At Drupalcon? Join us Thursday 12-1PM in the Erie meeting room for Revolutionary Drupal: Coding and Supporting Social Change
Technology doesn't drive social change, but it is one tool used -- from the streets of revolutionary Cairo to community organizers in Detroit. Can we help support these social change movements with Drupal? Are there ways we can code and structure Drupal projects to make them more useful to activists? Does Drupal have a role in protests and strategic direct action?
This session will be an open discussion for those working around social change, case studies of using Drupal, and brainstorming for ways we could collaborate or support Drupal projects that support social change.

Read moreProject Tools for Grassroots Activism
This project is currently being developed at Activism Labs
Overview
This set of tools will allow grassroots activists to better organize projects and campaigns and will also be useful to end-users working on almost any type or project. Existing tools for Drupal are lacking key features, often not very user-friendly, and almost never packaged for easy setup. I will address these problems by:
- Adding functionality to existing task tracking modules
- Creating the capacity for subgroups
Grants for Summer Drupal Project - Project Management Tool for Activists
Hello all,
After attending the recent Eugene Drupal Users Group meeting, I wanted to reach out to some local networks of programmers to see if anyone had any ideas to contribute to a project that I am planning for this summer: A project management tool for activists, organizers and social movements.
I'm a student at the University of Oregon, a computer science minor, an environmental studies major and an activist. I have directed many issue/election campaigns and I started a new student group on campus. I work with organizers from across the NW on campaigns related to climate change.
