DrupalCon in NYC? How do we make it happen?
I'd really like to see DrupalCon come to NYC. I think it makes a lot of sense especially for presenters and others traveling from Europe. As much as I love NYCCamp, I'd really love to see a full DrupalCon here. What would it take to pull off and how do we start? BTW, I've got a friend with a travel business (see http://yeegotravel.com - Drupal 7 on Pantheon!) who can get good deals on room blocks, event spaces and the like. I'd love to know what I can do to bring DrupalCon back to the east coast. :-)

Tour Historic Portland During Drupalcon PDX Next Monday

I've organized a guided tour of historic downtown PDX, by bike!
We'll start out at noon from a location near the convention center. The 3 hour ride will be an easy, fun one where we'll stop at different points of interest as the guides tell us about their beautiful, VERY bike-friendly city.

The inaugural NYC ("nice"**) Camp will take place from July 19 to 23, 2012 at Columbia University, Faculty House in New York City.
This epic event brings together some of the most active minds in Drupal for 5 days of activities incl. code sprints, sessions, summits, barn raisings and of course, BOFs.
Highlights include:
Drupal "Bootcamp" training (Thursday)
Drupal for Decisions Makers (Friday)
Nonprofit Summit (Friday)
Drupalcamp 10 NYC Planning Meeting: Finance/Budget discussion
The purpose of this meeting is exclusively to plan our budgetary needs for DrupalCamp 10, which we are close to resolving will be on December 10th, 2011 at a venue to be announced shortly pending final negotiations with them.
This is a critical meeting for organizers to attend. Prior to coming, please carefully review the following spreadsheet link prepared by Rich then 'sanitized' by Thomas to redact private information.
