Desperate for Drupal Help

Hello!
I can't believe that I have not been able to meet at the two meet ups that have taken place! I hope I can make the next one.

The reason for this discussion thread is that I have a site I need built in Drupal. My time for figuring this out has just about run out, and I need a jump start on it. I have the design approved, and a VERY modest budget, but am looking for someone who could build the basic skin or template and show me how to add the rest of the pages.

I appreciate any help...
Monica

Hello from the Chattanooga Drupal Users Group

Hi everyone.
I'm Lee, and I run the Chattanooga Users Group. http://groups.drupal.org/chattanooga-tn
I've been looking at any groups within a 2 hour drive from Chattanooga (Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta) and inviting anyone to come to a Chattanooga meetup, and we should make a run to you in a future meetup too.

I run my own Drupal shop in chattanooga (www.codejourneymen.com), and I'm like to spread Drupal interest in the community.

Huntsville Drupal User Round 2

Start:
2013-05-01 15:00 - 17:00 America/Chicago
Event type:
User group meeting

Hey everyone,

I would like to schedule a follow-up to last months meeting. I hope that everyone had a great time with the last one, and got to know each other a little bit. One of the suggestions for these meetings is that we do some presentations and have some sort of agenda for the meeting.

I will be happy to present on my stuff. I have a BOA host set up for my business and I'm hosting sites on multiple subnets. I'll be happy to present my work if anyone is interested.

Huntsville Drupal Users Group Meeting

Start:
2013-04-03 11:00 - 13:00 America/Chicago
Organizers:
Event type:
User group meeting

Hey everyone, let's meet up 4/3/2012 at Jason's Deli on University:

https://plus.google.com/108439935474784756233/about?gl=us&hl=en

The agenda will be simple:

First 15 min to half hour: introductions
Who are you?
What brings you here?
What do you do?
How do you use Drupal?
What are your websites, what companies do you work for?

I don't think we will have an agenda for the rest of the meeting. I think this should be a meet and greet so we can all get acquainted and get to know each others strengths and capabilities.

I look forward to meeting with all of you.

Regards,

recommendations on starter theme

I am creating my first drupal site, and though I have created the pages, navigation (another topic) and am waiting on client to supply content, I want to get a better understanding on how to make my own sub-theme. I have a design I need to stick to and cannot find a theme to match it. Not that I like themes anyway, though my theme experience is from wordpress.

Any recommendations? I have been looking at zen and fusion, but can't tell which is better suited for a newbie to drupal like me.

Thank you!

Activity at last!

Looks like we're starting to find a few Drupalists here. Peek into http://groups.drupal.org/node/1184 -- perhaps we can finally gather a few people together and have a meetup like other cities our size!

(Also, if anyone's going to Drupalcon Portland, let me know...)

Greeting

Hi,

I'm John Davenport and I am developing drupal sites for the small, high-tech company I work for. I love the tool. I've found it to be and extremely flexible and powerful tool for adding value to my business. I hope to find some other people here who are developing drupal and maybe start a more active developer community.

Regards,
John Davenport

Part-time Drupal Developer

Hi there,

We are an ecotourism company based in Helena, and have a Drupal website (check it out: www.ietravel.com). Although I do have a Drupal firm that is helping me with upcoming big-ticket projects: e-commerce, certain other enhancements, etc., they are quite expensive. I need someone with a strong portfolio who can help out with the routine maintenance and more minor enhancements that are becoming too costly with this firm.

I would prefer that the candidate be in Birmingham or Huntsville.

We have a test server environment set up on Rackspace, by the way.
