Quick and easy D7 distro to evaluate Leaflet

Hey locators and mappers,

I recently evaluated Leaflet for a Drupal 7 project and it took a little while to figure out the right recipe to get locations with geocoding and mapping. I've coalesced some of that setup and configuration research into a distribution. It's only a sandbox project but I thought it might be useful for others looking to evaluate a Drupal GIS stack that includes:

Multiple node locations feed one map?

At this point, I'm essentially working with a restaurant directory. I need to have (1) a map on each page (node) denoting the location of the restaurant, and (2) an overall map that features the locations from each restaurant (so a multi-node map). These locations will need to be read from a postal add

  1. I've been able to create this single map using OpenLayers, GeoField, and Geocoder. But I'd also like this map to have the ability to input a start address and give directions. So far I haven't been able to accomplish that.

Geofield simplesearch: SEO friendly proximity filter

I have published this:
http://drupal.org/sandbox/Admdebian/1664610

Geofield Simplesearch creates a block where users can search for citiy and locations (it uses google apis).

If the place is found, then user is redirected with a SEO friendly URL to a page.

example: places/ney_york

You can create a view (with views module) and use Geofield Simplesearch proximity argument to capture data and filter nodes.

This module is an alternative to search-api modules.

Showing non-mapped items in an attachment view

I have a content type where the mapping field is optional. When I create an OpenLayers overlay and map view, the non-mapped nodes aren't shown. So if there are supposed to be 10 items per page in the view and 2 don't have mapping, then only 8 nodes will show on the map.

Map field titles/descriptions not displaying

I have a couple of fields -
Field = Geofield
Widget = OpenLayers Map

For my other fields I'm using the Help Text to give instructions on what to input to the field, but neither the field name of the help text is displaying for the map fields when in edit mode.

1) Am I able to display the name of the field and the help text for a map field. If not, is this a bug or by design?

2) The default help text being displayed for a map is
"Use the icons to select what type of feature to draw. Each map can contain one simple feature. Pan and zoom with arrows and the zoom bar."
