I'd like to host a drupal meetup in Mt Airy (NW Philly)

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Anyone interested in getting together to do a show-and-tell group in NW Philly? I've got space at my company's office where we can fit up to around 10 people, and I think it would be really great to have an informal group where we can go over projects, discoveries, techniques, and issues. It's a cool space on a cool block, easily accessible by Septa or car for those not in the area. And once we're done we go across the street for drinks and food.

Possible dates: Apr 22, 23, or 24, or May 6, 7, or 8. I could also have it on a weekend if there's interest.

As another Mt. Airy Drupaler, I'm way into this idea.

I'm in LA for Passover on the April Dates you mention. Of the May dates you mention, the 7th and 8th are better for me!

I don't mind coming down

I don't mind coming down there since it's about a 20min drive for me. However, i would like to have Apr 22&23 are the only day in april i can do.

Thanks for offering!

Sounds great -- I'd love to attend. I'd like to point out 2 possible conflicts though:
April 23rd is a PANMA event - New Media and Journalism
May 6th is the first meetup of the Philly chapter of NetSquared (non-profits interested in social media)

Since we haven't done an April meetup yet (and since Shai will be gone week of April 24), maybe we could do April 17 at IndyHall/Old City, and then May 8th in Mount Airy?

+1 too

As another Mt. Airy Drupaller (for the immediate future) I can't help but think this is a great idea.
I would only be able to do Apr. 22 or 24 or May 6th dates though.

It is wonderful to discover such a large Drupal presence Up here!
I am right around the corner on Roumfort.

I'm interested. All those dates, but 4/24 would work for me --

This is a great response! It looks like a pretty clear consensus for Thurs May 8, so let's do it then at 7:00. Here are the deets. I'll post again to get an RSVP list the week before.

We're in an upstairs office in the Sedgwick Cultural Center, and our entrance is next to Chef Ken's Restaurant.
There is easy parking in a free lot across the street. Enter it as if you're going to Fit Life Gym. It is a free city lot, so it doesn't belong to the gym and you don't have to worry about tickets or towing.

The easiest train stop is Allen Lane on the R8. Sedgwick on the R7 is also pretty close.
