I am currently working on a project for the Las Vegas Drupal Group and I'm in need of some suggestions for video embedding/podcasting modules. I'm curious what modules everyone that's doing vcasting with a Drupal-based site are using... like, is there anything out there module-wise that's like the CCK/Views of the video world?

Here's the workflow I would like to start with, as a goal: Using OS X Server's Podcast Producer (and client software in Leopard) to do screen captures of presentations, instructions, et cetera. Podcast Producer will neatly package podcasts, create an Apple iTunes xml stream, and publish everything for you... I'm just curious what I'm looking at in terms of implementing this to work with a Drupal site (and the theme I'm working on.) Or is there some tried-and-true method you guys are using that would work well for us..?

Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated!

Mediafield + Emfield + Media Actions + BlipTV

I don't really have a clue about the desktop applications you should be using on a Mac, but if you're willing to use Blip.TV (and why shouldn't you be? It's a FANTASTIC service, and they are very actively engaging the Drupal community) then I'd suggest the Media Actions module, which requires media field and

Or, you might want to try Tube Mogul and then just pull in video feeds using emfield, feedapi, and feedapi element mapper.

Previous Blip observations..

I had a couple of what might be peculiar experiences with Blip while watching some of Drupal Dojo's videos, actually.. had been corrupted in a couple of places. That might be completely anecdotal and not representative of their normal reliability but kind of made me nervous about considering them for my own projects. Also, I don't know if Blip's video is compatible with iTunes... Thanks for the suggestions, though - I will definitely check out the Media Actions module and the other suggestions and consider those options. thanks!

You might want to take a look a Media Mover install talk and demo and definitely check out the crib notes for it if you decide it's something you want to pursue.

Chris,
Did you ever get your page up? That is exactly what I want to do. I have a vidoe cast (a .mov file) that is put on itunes with a xml and I want to put the feed on my web page so others could view or download it there with out going to itunes.
