Creating Two Drupal Sites in a Domain

Hi Drupalers,

I would like to create two sites, for example, one is www.mysite.com and another is community.mysite.com.
These two sites share same database and modules, but different themes and menus.
How can I accomplish this ?
Where can I find a step-by-step guide for this ?

In my localhost, my directory name is /mysite/ and modules are in /mysite/sites/all/modules.
How do I create directories in my localhost to achieve the above purpose ?
I would like to know about for both online and offline.

Multisite is likely what you are looking for ... but you might also be interested in the domain access module
