Can someone (or multiple people) please promote http://groups.drupal.org/node/13422 with a drupal.org post -- preferably front page -- and some blogging.

Just got a post together on this -- http://funnymonkey.com/knight-drupal-initiative-overview-proposal

This will also go out via the Planet --

I'll also post links to it via twitter, and look to follow up with another post mid-week.

As we discussed in the last IRC meeting, a decent grassroots PR effort should include:

  1. coordinated efforts by a few (at least 3-4) bloggers -- blog posts should be spaced throughout the week.
  2. Use of the same tags for blog posts -- I used Knight Drupal Initiative and KDI -- this will help with Technorati, which, while it barely creaks along, is still of some use
  3. Links to blog posts via twitter/other microblogging platforms -- on Twitter, we should also use #hashtags -- #KnightDrupal would be a good balance, as this is reasonably descriptive and short (as Twitter has a 140 character limit)

These steps (and others -- what else could we do on this?) are pretty simple, and, while taking up very little time, would extend the reach of our blogs/publicity.
