Since there are quite a few Drupal themes that are based on the 960 Grid System, I thought I would share here that I've developed a bit of JS that allows you to switch grid dimensions on-the-fly. You can read more about it here...
Anyway, just wanted to give y'all a heads-up, in case you were thinking about how to do a grid, but still be mobile friendly. :)

Its pretty cool and dead easy to get worky, cheers, I'm not using a grid per se but ability to pipe smartphone/tablet css is all I need, well done this works bloody well and appears far more reliable than media queries - which are driving me crazy...
