Hey Team!
As many of you know, the April pilot month-long sprint has been going really well - several people have stepped up to help out with the issues I'd selected, and 3 of 5 are currently done. A few of us are still sprinting on the two remaining issues, and hoping to close out the sprint on time.
Additionally, the IRC office hours that I've done the last few weeks on Tuesdays have also been a great success. Several people have turned up each time with issues needing review or feedback, and have been able to get peer reviews or help from Jennifer and I.
Along the way, I've earmarked a few critical issues that I think need to be tackled next (Theme guide, and the Image and Taxonomy docs issues that came out of the Core modules review from this month). In addition to those, CarolynK has also proposed some improvements to the Site Building guide that I think will be good to include so she can get reviews more easily as she works on this.
For the Theme Guide work, I will definitely need some extra support with, since theming is one of the areas I'm least knowledgeable about. I know Carolyn is great with this (and did a bunch of work on it in Chicago), but if there are others who are keen to help out with that one or take the lead on it, please do speak up.
I think that is a good starting set of issues to work on for next month - if anyone has any strong opinions on other issues they feel should be part of the May sprint, please post here, or join us during the IRC office hours next week so we can discuss priorities together before we call the sprint officially set. Until then, if you have time, it would be great to have some more help getting the two remaining issues for this month finished off so we can start clean for May.
