Hi, I'm new here to this group and new to drupal. I have been using drupal nearly 2 months for my school at http://smpaphm.net. It should serve two purposes, 1) info about school 2) delivering news to school citizens as well as to the public. I want the website frontpage to look like a newspaper website as the news will be provided by the students.
I have the common modules installed for a newspaper site, such as views, panels, cck, scheduler and I am using Newswire theme. The reason I'm using Newswire theme is because it has suckerfish menu and I'm disappointed that Drupal does not have too many themes unlike Wordpress and Joomla especially for Newspaper/Magazine style theme. The best theme I know for this style is mostly premiums and I don't want to spend on it.
What seems to bug me and still stuck is how am I going to organise the content. I have absolutely no idea about what sections, categories for news articles. I have been trying to learn views and panels for customised frontpage but I cant follow through it. If you guys can gimme a guideline where to start, I would appreciate it.
