Merlinofchaos came through again, this time with new comment.tpl.php and node.tpl.php. Those make our posts look much nicer with picture, group, privacy, and tag info all presented in a sane layout. nice.

Tagging

Boris Mann's picture

Moshe (and perhaps some others) -- I've been going back and adding tags to post to promote their use -- just an FYI. I realize with people that may not heavily use services like Flickr or delicious, you may not be aware of how interesting/valuable the use of tags can make sifting through info.

If anyone objects to me adding tags to their un-tagged posts....please let me know. I'll do up an FAQ entry on "tagging best practices" at some point.

enhancement

sounds good. i plan to add a killer new feature: the current terms links will change so they lead to similar pages as today but filtered for the current group. there will be a link at top to see he global view of a tag.

the next step after that will be to optionally let group admins setup their own vocab of terms (usually in addition to the free tag vocab).

comment template

i absolutely despise that i can't see the comments when i load the page.

it makes the site completely unusable in my opinion.

there's also no way to set the comment settings.

Just a list of comment titles, with no view of how they are nested, and no way to view them all. having to click on them individually.
