We're at the Drupal.org redesign sprint at MIT and would like to close the Drupal.org Redesign Infrastructure Team group for good. Placing a sticky post at on the group home page may not be enough to prevent unwanted posts from being posted here. What's the procedure for moving posts or subscriptions to the implementers group?

Yes, we can close that group
If you'd like, I can close that group and place all of it's content into the Implementers group for you. Say the word and we'll pull the trigger tonight.

Yes, thanks! Do you
Yes, thanks! Do you recommend closing the group instead of deleting it?
In this case, I don't recommend closing that group
In a lot of cases, closing a group is the best course of action, as it 'freezes it in time'. In your case, however, you want the discussions to continue somewhere else, so you're gonna migrate. Thus, we'll close the first group and put all the content from it into the new group, with the posts being attributed to the same authors, and any posts with authors who are unknown in the new group will become owned by '____'.
