As there's a lot of discussion/excitement about real-world projects, I think this (and other Drupal essential projects) would be perfect for the Dojo....
The Drupal Themer Pack is a group effort of people who want to contribute to Drupal and make the lives of themers a little easier by creating a comprehensive set of templates for every themable in Drupal core.

Very cool!
I just heard about this. I'm going to try and get someone to explain a bit more about what's going on and how to participate. Seems very cool, and would get people going on theme stuff, which I've not covered much yet.

Complete custom themes
I have to "squeeze" Drupal into an already existing site design, and one challenge is to actually get rid of all the assigned classes and wrapping divs to have a bare-bones super-clean XHTML base to build upon again.
A lot of the default themeing is obviously meant to ease quick modification via CSS without touching PHP, but it would be great if a lesson could touch on all the details for themeing elements from a PHP point of view.
