Media: Google Docs?

As development of Media and its small galaxy of modules continues, i'd like to pose a simple question to other users and developers: Does anyone have the need for or see any value in a module that would provide support for Google Docs as entities, just like Media: YouTube does so for videos, Media: Flickr does so for images, and so on?

We all share data in a lot of different ways, Google Docs being an increasingly popular one. While there are quite a few Google Docs-integration(ish) modules out there (most recently the "Droogle" module), they all approach the problem from a really different motivation than that of Media and its various add-on modules. For example, if one were to build a shared media library for a group interested in, say, historic renovations, then the ability for users to share and learn from videos and photographs would be no problem. And while users might create nodes of all kinds to share text-based data, not everything lives in Drupal, nor should it. Some data is simply better suited for a tool like Google Docs. As such, the ability to add a Google Doc (file) entity, along with a short description field, a taxonomy field, and whatever other organizationally useful metadata would, in my humble opinion, make for some really strong functionality. At present, i don't know of any clean way to accomplish something like this.

So, just looking for others' thoughts and opinions. Hope this make sense!
