How about a discussion of design principles with adaptive/responsive in mind. Or just design principles and best practices in general.
Another thing I could use some help with is a hands on session on updating core and modules, particularly when core is SO out of date that updated modules won't play nice with it. I have an example site that is still on Drupal 7.6, and a straight update update has been problematic (especially the Date module). Maybe we could troubleshoot it, if people think they could learn from seeing that done.

Updates
I have a lot of experience performing core and module updates on a variety of sites -- there are different ways that people do it however (a topic in itself) and the answer may depend on what you're doing. If you want to describe what you're doing and what issues you are having, maybe I or someone else can help. :)
I also am not able to attend the Seacoast meetups FWIW, so this would be a better place for me to try to give some help. :)
This would be useful!
I have several sites that always spit out warnings whenever I update them. It would be good if I could figure out what's causing the warnings.
These are both great ideas!
These are both great ideas! Maybe we could have an update-by-committee session and walk through / troubleshoot updates together.
Does anyone know a designer in the area who might be willing to come speak?
Update: I'm working on
Update: I'm working on getting presenters on the topics of updating Drupal and mobile design. Please let me know if you have specific people who I could add to my ask list.
Why don't we migrate this
Why don't we migrate this discussion to the Feb 7 meeting announcement, which is at http://groups.drupal.org/node/276938.
