Who's going to Cascadia PHP next month? It would be great to see some familiar faces there!
It's September 14 & 15 at University Place, the same venue as this year's PNW Drupal Summit.
The list of speakers and sessions looks pretty great:

The organizers just shared discount code ug25-njba
with us that knocks $75 off general admission. There's student pricing, too.

I was thinking we could have a group discussion about how people manage their configurations in Drupal 8. If Greg is there, he may have some slides on the subject he will share.
For future months, we're looking for people to give talks. They could be 5 minutes or as long as about 45 minutes. If you're interested, find me on Slack or talk to me in person tomorrow.

At the meetup tonight at Phase2, Amber and Greg mentioned that our Meetup group’s future is unknown at this point now that our beloved organizer is less involved here in Portland.
The options I recall hearing were:
- Shut it down and move our efforts to groups.drupal.org/portland
- Find a person who wants to host it / add it to their account
- Have a company sponsor it (it’s currently $14 / month)
Please correct me if I missed something!
Read moreBrooks Digital is hiring a Drupal / PHP Tech Lead
Brooks Digital is a growing digital agency that helps nonprofits build and continuously improve their websites. We work with clients to determine how their website helps them achieve their mission, and then create and execute a data-driven plan to increase the impact of their website. We are looking for a Tech Lead to provide technical oversight and leadership for our one-time and ongoing projects based on Drupal 7 and 8.
As a Tech Lead, you are accountable for understanding and guiding technical architecture, making and communicating tradeoff decisions during project implementation, advocating for code quality and project sustainability, performing technical analysis and breakdown of features, managing releases (including the project release pipeline), reviewing and testing work to meet project/company standards, and mentoring other engineers on the team. Your work ensures the long-term success of our nonprofit clients, and helps them create positive change in the world.
This is an hourly contract / remote opportunity, with the potential for full-time hire (if desired) for the right candidate as the company grows.

Hey Drupal friends,
Chris Bloom and a co-worker are going to be presenting on Graph QL tonight at the Phase 2 offices. Graph QL is a query language for APIs, and you can find out more about Graph QL for Drupal here:
https://github.com/drupal-graphql/graphql
Giving the large number of hacked Drupal sites from the recent security updates, after the presentation, we're going to do a Drupal security Q/A. At a minimum, we'll cover the various ways to run your Drupal upgrades easily, and what to do if you have a Drupal site that hasn't been updated in a while.

Let me know if you'd like to purchase them. Looking for $350 or best offer.
Posting this to multiple groups because it's equally relevant to most people. Please reach out ASAP if you're interested.
