The Drupal (www.drupal.org) open-source content management system (CMS) is changing the way web sites are developed and deployed on the Internet. Each quarter the Drupal Association (association.drupal.org) promotes Drupal Global Training Days where various organizations across the globe host free events to bring people into the Drupal community. Sage Tree Solutions is planning an event for Wednesday March 5th in San Diego at our downtown offices at 752 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101.

What to bring: Wi-Fi enabled laptop with a web browser for the hands on labs
The event will be a free "Introduction to Drupal 7" training event that will be a hands on lab session where each participant will build a Drupal site from start to finish.
This course will examine Drupal web site architecture, design, site building, theming and module development. By the end of the course, students will be able to design, develop and deploy Drupal web sites. The focus of this course will be the basic "Drupal out of the box" fundamentals including:
Drupal installation
Basic Drupal configuration including WYSIWYG editor
Pages and menus Content types, fields and taxonomies
User roles and permissions
Views
This is a hand-on lab course. Students are expected to bring their own laptop with WiFi. Each student will build out a fully functional web site using Drupal sandboxes on the Pantheon (www.getpantheon.com) hosting platform.
