Just wanted to make sure everyone knew about the pre-conference training on OpenPublish coming up at Drupalcon San Francisco. It will be a hands-on workshop which will take participants from installation of OpenPublish to having a working site.
The class will start with an introduction to OpenPublish and OpenCalais and then cover the following: In

• Customizing the taxonomy
• Setting up navigation and menu items
• Controlling content on your OP site with editorial options
• Creating robust content using third-party and cutting-edge features
• Multimedia options and showcase
• Setup new main level sections
• Customize RSS feeds
• Importing RSS, Twitter and more
Using advanced features to customize your site
• How to create your own theme, starting with the OpenPublish base theme
• Using Context to build your site sections
• Block placement using Context
• Configuring OpenCalais and More Like This
• How to set up and configure Topic Hubs
We'll end with a discussion on taking your OpenPublish site further to include: building new features using Features, advanced theming techniques and contributing to OpenPublish.
