Any experience with weborb for PHP?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi,
just for the summary: Looking for people with experience using the weborb server module for services.module.

This is my first post here in the group. I only played around with examples and snippets yet. But now plans arised to integrate an existing AS2 app with the drupal-backend using a lot of services sivices.module offers while creating an AJAX-based version.

So I looked at the different server modules services.module supports. Everything fine with is, but some weeks ago I stumbled across weborb for PHP by themidnightcoders, got my feet very, very dirty and used it in a non drupal project. And weborb for PHP also has a server module for services.module on board. Unfortunately without any examples.

My question is: While a lot of developers speak about weborb for PHP, especially in comparisons between AMFPHP, sabre concerning Flash-/Flex-Remoting, nothing here about weborb. So does anybody have experience with weborb server module using AS2/AS3 and or AJAX (Javascript)?

Any hints are highly apreciated. Thanks.

we are using weborb for some of the functionality but specifically for our custom php needs. for interfacing with drupal, we use amfphp and the amfphp module since it directly opens up the drupal api without having to bootstrap drupal for every class.

weborb.module and bootstraping drupal

@priyodevil: Thanks a lot for your (very) first comment to this topic.

Your hint concerning that the weborb.module has to bootstrap drupal for every class/API Access is not reproducable for me, looking at the modules code. On the contrary I think it behaves in the same way other server service modules act, e.g. amfphp, soapserver etc..

The only thing I could think of is, that you do not address the services server module weborb.module ( in the codebase of weborb 3.6), rather than a standalone weborb instance, talking to drupal via API calls and thus bootstrapping drupal first for every service call.

Personally I tried this way. But using the services weborb integration I expected to save a huge amount of work in implementing standard tasks with the given services infrastructure (user related calls for instance).

Again, thanks
