Sorry to pester the group, but tomorrow is election day and my front page is broken because my context is broken.
How can I reinstall or fix my context without a total reinstall?

Do you know what caused the context to break? If you have upgraded the features module and that caused the error, try to downgrade it. Always take backup of your database. If you have older database, try to use that when you downgrade the module.

To be truthful, I'm not sure it ever worked.
I hadn't changed my contexts since upgrading to 2.1, So it might have been broken for a month, but I didn't realize it, because I never tried to use it.

I didn't realize it was broken until Saturday, when I tried to add something to the front page.

Is there a way to uninstall context, without destroying all my saved articles, blogs and galleries, and then reinstall it?

I am not sure about

I am not sure about uninstalling and reinstalling as I never heard of it. But did you try to see in the context settings page if they are there?

Go to admin/build/context and see if the contexts are enabled or not. After upgrading, I had to rearrange my frontpage because the context setup was reverted to default. Be assured that nothing is lost due to update, you just need to add those relevant blocks or whatever if you have customized them before upgrading.

"Go to admin/build/context and see if the contexts are enabled or not."
That's my problem. They are enabled. But they don't function.
If you go to edit your front page context, you click "blocks," and you are given an assortment of blocks to choose from.
For me, clicking blocks or paths does nothing.
I assume this means my context is incorrectly installed.
I have the exact same problem on my test site. I have another site where the context does work. I exported the functional front page context and then imported it to my test site, but it didn't work.
Something is broken.
All of my content is still there. It works on the landing pages (blogs/News/Obituaries) etc. But again, I am unable to change the context. It only works because it retains the same format I had pre-OP 2,1 installation.

Context is a module. Any module can be uninstalled and reinstalled.
The problem I face is that to uninstall context, I'd have to uninstall my my OP features, I believe. And doing so would delete all associated content with the features.

Well, maybe OP isn't what I thought it was

This is frustrating, of course.
But I keep seeing people, myself included ask questions without getting any concrete support.

If the OP designers keep innovating without fixing the basics, this project is going to lose steam, quickly.

The polls open in less than 12 hours, and my newspaper's website doesn't work anymore.

midek, can you please respond

Context is a module. Any module can be uninstalled and reinstalled.

It's not as simple as that, given that a number of 3rd party modules are patched, at least until the fixes get absorbed into newer releases of those modules.
