Maine Drupal User Group

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Maine Drupal User Group (MDUG) meets occasionally, sometimes on the second Tuesday of the month, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. eastern.

We will have a Zoom set up for people to connect remotely, and sometimes we'll plan to meet in Portland (when we can arrange a meeting place, and when people are available to come). The Zoom connection will be available for all the meetings, so you can connect remotely even if some of us are meeting in person.

Sign up for the email list at http://pugmaine.com. We will circulate the Zoom connection info. and meeting locations via the email list. If you have trouble adding yourself to the list or have questions, contact Todd Woofenden at todd.woofenden@acquia.com .

We'll also touch on other related modules from the Panels ecosystem as well as alternate approaches such as the Context module.

Introduction

Hello Maine group. I just wanted to quickly introduce myself. My wife and I are moving to mid-coast Maine in mid-Sept. I have been developing sites with Drupal for the last 5 years. My largest client is Kentucky Christian University. Their maine site, athletics sites, and library are all running on D6 with the soon to be launched bookstore site running D7 Drupal Commerce. I am looking forward to getting together with you guys and talking Drupal.

Is there a table listing D6 contributed modules that have been ported to D7?

To date I have found no quick way to determine which Drupal 6 contributed modules have been ported to Drupal 7.

This information is critical to version selection, and to site building.

Do you know of one, such as an automatically-updated table that provides this information?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Maine Drupal-Groups group - Transfer?

I've been asked by members of the southern Maine's Drupal User Group, which meets in Portland, Maine monthly (aka PUGMaine Drupal User Group) to see about transferring the management of this Drupal Group to our group managers.

One of the members tried contacting the current group organizer, without response, so I'm throwing it out there: Any objections, or comments?

Thanks!

-- Todd Woofenden, group manager, Drupal User Group, Maine

Current group managers of the Maine group are:

Adam Courtemanche, Transit ID (Portland)
Thomas Scola, Rinck Advertising (Auburn)

Any html/css/javascript/jquery developers looking for a steady gig?

Disclaimer -

I am not the person hiring, nor is this a Drupal position.

I work within the group and we are backfilling a position.

The position is contract based (hourly rate) at 40 hours a week/in-house.

The position is for a front-end developer - master html/css and strong javascript/jQuery - and I mean really strong.

Work would be on an enterprise level e-commerce site.

If you are interested, let me know and I can refer you to the right parties.
