The Santa Cruz Drupal User's Group is looking to connect Drupal users in and around Santa Cruz, California.
We have a budding tech community in Santa Cruz. One factor in our tech growth is the use of Drupal at several local web shops, start-ups, and organizations. Drupal use at UC Santa Cruz is also growing and it's time we all got together to share knowledge and learn from each other.
We (almost always) meet on the first Tuesday of each month, at 7pm. Meetings are free and held at NextSpace at 101 Cooper Street in downtown Santa Cruz. All are welcome. Ring the buzzer to get let into the building.
Note - If the meeting day falls on a holiday or during the winter holidays (e.g. January), then we might reschedule or cancel the meeting but there will be a discussion or event here for it.

Meeting in Santa Cruz Tonight?
Hello,
New to the Santa Cruz Drupal group.
I have noticed that there seems a bit of a pattern that there is a meeting each month on the first tuesday of the month @ NextSpace on Cooper. There has yet to be a mention of one happening or not happening this month. Wanted to check in and verify if there might be one this evening.
Cheers

Need more reviewers for my Featured Content module
The drupalmodules.com site has changed their policy and requires 7 reviews before the module can show up in the "top" list... it used to be 5 (and I now have 5, of course).
I need 2 more reviews! Help! :)
My module is here: http://drupal.org/project/featured_content
The reviews are here: http://drupalmodules.com/module/featured-content
If you are able to test and review, that would be great! If you come across an issue that needs to be resolved, please let me fix it before you review.
Thanks!
Kristen

Help pick the next DrupalCon city for 2012
The DrupalCon North American Regional Organizing Group is looking for input from us, the Drupal community, to help pick the location for DrupalCon North America being scheduled for 2012 (and beyond). They have put together a brief “straw poll” intended to gauge community interest about various cities that have been suggested as potential good locations by our event management company. Vote however you wish, but I'd like to point out that the list does already have a few West coast cities, like Las Vegas, and many of us wouldn't mind to see DrupalCon nearby again.

Boost and IE
I have Boost installed on a few sites, and am really pleased with the huge difference it makes. But I cannot for the life of me get any version of IE to serve the cached pages.
I found in the issue queue a notice to disable RFC2616 compliance, which I have done to no effect (yes I generated new rules and changed the .htaccess).
Is there another setting to enable/disable? What else can I do? I have seen boost tags on ie before (just not my sites) so I know it is possible...
Any help is appreciated!
