DrupalCon

The DrupalCon North American Regional Organizing Group is looking for input from us, the Drupal community, to help pick the location for DrupalCon North America being scheduled for 2012 (and beyond). They have put together a brief “straw poll” intended to gauge community interest about various cities that have been suggested as potential good locations by our event management company. Vote however you wish, but I'd like to point out that the list does already have a few West coast cities, like Las Vegas, and many of us wouldn't mind to see DrupalCon nearby again.

Just poking my head in here to see about Drupalcon LA. I see the Drupalcon proposal WIKI there on the frontpage and that looks really promising. The Association is currently accepting proposals for NA 2009 with a decision in early fall of this year.

If you have questions, want help, need clarification or anything else please feel free to contact me or anyone at the Association.

btw, I use you guys as an example of a strong community when I'm out n' about talking about Drupal in China; just thought you should know.

DrupalCon is about half way through and has been amazing! I'm suffering from a little information overload ... and loving it.

The purpose of this post is for people from the LA group who are fortunate enough to have attended DrupalCon to share their thoughts about things that they've discovered and want to share with the rest of the Los Angeles Drupal group. I just got notice that my Better Drupal Interaction Design with Flex session for Drupalcon Boston 2008 was accepted and is being scheduled. I don't know what day it will be on yet, but it should be on Monday or Tuesday since those are the days I'll be at Drupalcon. Here are the points I'll be covering in my time alloted:

• Differences between HTML & Flex
• Differences between Flex & Flash
• What makes an RIA (Rich Internet Application)?

Looking to meet up with some people from LA. Currently living in Miami but looking to relocate to LA.
