The Mission of the EWWDG is to provide an enjoyable, productive and professional environment to grow, innovate, and propegate web development knowledge thoughout eastern washington. This is made possible through the participation of its members in an effort to pay-it-forward in our community.

The annual Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit is going to be happening this year in Portland OR [EDIT: they first announced October 17-19; now saying "mid-to-late October]. The Portland crew doesn't have their web site up yet, but they're getting their plans together and have confirmed the date. [Edit: http://2014.pnwdrupalsummit.org/ is the start of the web site with sign-up form to get on their notification list.]

Spokane group: getting your questions answered
At our last meeting, someone (sorry, can't remember who) asked whether we had a forum where we could ask Drupal questions and get them answered.

Web Fonts
Last meeting there was questions about web font (Google Fonts - http://www.google.com/fonts). Figured I expand upon ways to call the file(s).
An alternative to placing the tag within your html markup is to use "@import" and place it directly at the top of your css file (see attachment - @import.png). Step 3 of Google font guide also gives an option to embed using link tag, @import, and javascript.
Example: @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:300,400,700|Raleway:400,300,700);

We have been lucky in that Jon, who usually comes to our monthly Drupal meetings, has a projector (the library where we meet doesn't have one we can use). However, last month Jon couldn't make it, and I'm sure that will happen occasionally. It would be good to have a backup plan in place.
Three options I can think of:
a) Does anyone who comes regularly have a projector they could bring? (reply here if so, and let us know what kind of video input it supports)

PNW Drupal Summit - Register now, and Spokane carpool?
In case you haven't seen the announcement, registration is now open for the Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit, which will take place Sat-Sun October 5-6 in Vancouver BC. I would strongly recommend going for anyone who has a basic background in Drupal and wants to be exposed to new techniques, useful modules, and ideas. I go every year, and at $50 for a two-day conference (including lunch and social events), it's a real bargain. The past few Summits have sold out, so if you want to go, sign up now!
