Any idea about having a logo for our HKDUG, similar as Taiwan Drupal User Group, Sacramento-Area Drupal User Group or Central Ohio Drupal User Group?

When I mention this idea with my friend Yuki Lam she would like to contribute some design for brain storming. Please feel free to comment and let's discuss about it :D

we are going to the DrupalCon Copenhagen and we will present together with Ben Finklea the "Seo for Drupal 6 & 7" Session ( http://cph2010.drupal.org/sessions/drupal-7-search-engine-optimization ).

This is an award. We want you to redesign our Logo until the 21.18.2010 and will post the credits for the winner on our website during the DrupalCon.

The actual website logo is at www.segments.at, but it does not fit to the overall Design of our website.

Michael has put up some great initial designs for a new logo for our group and we're long overdue for an update to my five-minute-GIMP-disaster. What does everyone think? Any other suggestions?

bueno, hace rato ke estaba keriendo hacer un logo, pero estaba con poco tiempo, ahi va un boceto de lo que me salio, todavia no puse el texto. esta dibujado a mano y la idea es ke el final tambien sea a mano, todo vectorizado como ke no pega mucho con los filetes porteños y el tango, nose que opinaran. despues les mando el progreso, pero para ke vayan viendo algo y me den sus opiniones aca esta:

The amazingly talented Young Hahn, from our corporate sponsors Development Seed worked his magic to provide Aegir with a new logo. Young has also written a post about the design process that lead to the new logo.

This new logo will provide Aegir with better branding opportunities, and is the first step towards legitimizing Aegir as the powerful product it is.
Unlike the previous logo, it is ideal for the purposes of print media, and will also allow us to design things like Aegir t-shirts, baseball caps etc.

Aegir as a product is finally starting to take shape, and it is going to be a very exciting time for us.

Boy, aside from the cliche "I'm Meelllting!" Mr Drupal graphic, there is a bit of a challenge in combining the climate of the High Desert and the very vulnerable waterdrop into a graphic. I replicated a desert scene (complete with stylized Joshua tree). At Kricket's suggestion, I tried to break my graphic artist block and added the tumbleweed element to things.

I just noticed that one of the questions the theme sprinters have for Mark Boulton is to do with the h1 debate. Should the logo be in an h1 as per the final iteration of the design or should some other method be used?

The SEO side of the argument often sides with reserving the h1 for only the page title and ideally, there being only one h1 tag on any page.
