I am looking for web hosting. Any idea on if i am best off with one of the drupal recommended hosts or finding a local host in hong kong?

Will the website download faster if the server is local?

Any idea about having a logo for our HKDUG, similar as Taiwan Drupal User Group, Sacramento-Area Drupal User Group or Central Ohio Drupal User Group?

When I mention this idea with my friend Yuki Lam she would like to contribute some design for brain storming. Please feel free to comment and let's discuss about it :D

As Drupal 7 will release on January 5th 2011, Drupal community is organizing world-wide local release parties on Friday, January 7th. Any idea to have our local party in Hong Kong?

Hey Group,

It's been a while now since our last meetup and I'm sure, like me, you are dying to meet. :)

So let's get meeting again! We could meet at my work place based in San Po Kong. I think it's much more flexible as we do not have to book a room, like we had to at SOHOlife and eating out is cheap. I can probably fit around 8-10 people max.

At the moment I have no topic or schedule so let's brainstorm and find a schedule/topic/style that suits most people.

Thoughts?
