URI Widget for cck

Hi,
I'm wondering if somebody has developed a URI widget for CCK? I think it would be an extension of the link module. Another option is to just have a text field with a URI filter rather than a URL filter. Does anybody have any pointers? I'm working on a project that will hopefully integrate with the semantic web and we'd like to be able to link to external content using the extended URI protocols rather than URLs. IANA maintains a list of URI protocols.

thanks
Kehan

CCK multiple value checkboxes

Herkese merhaba,

benim çok enteresan bir problemim var. 6.8'i kurduktan sonra CCK checkbox/radio button'daki "allow multiple values" seçeneği kayboldu. 15 gündür girmediğim forum kalmadı. Bu problemi yaşayan başka kimse yok mu acaba? nasıl çözebiliriz?.. iş gecikiyor acilen çözmem lazım...

teşekkürler...

Statistics Pro Released

The module creates statistics with aggregated data. The data will be stored in a new table, which will be updated with a cron run. This statistic module provides statistical results of nodes, comments and users. Those results will be stored even if the access-log or the watchdog table have been deleted. For the presentation the data views and charts module are used. The Drupal core statistics module is used for the raw data (actually it is required for statspro).

Simple data structures without using nodes

Is anyone aware of a module that would allow creation of widgets with multiple sub-fields?

Say you have a custom XML feed that contains a set of main records, e.g. store name. Then say each store can have an optional set of special offers, which has half a dozen fields (title, price, etc) - rather than setting up yet another content type and doing a messy add/remove for nodes and node references each time, it'd be much cleaner if I could just use one field with nested data. Are there any modules with a nifty UI for doing this, or do I ultimately need to create a some widgets to do it?

Help testing the CCK Multigroup module

Hi all,

I've been working on a patch to the CCK multigroup module that I feel it's almost there. It needs as much testing as possible however. If you think you may need this feature, then please help testing, so maybe it can be included in the next release of CCK2, which I don't know because it depends on the CCK maintainers, but getting this tested, will help.

Next steps: Fields in Core Sprint

Good news! During the week of December 15, we're organizing a 5-day Fields in Drupal core code sprint at Acquia! The goal is to get CCK functionality into Drupal 7.

So far, Karen, Yves and Barry have signed up -- Karen and Yves are the main CCK maintainers, and Barry has done a lot of work on CCK as well.

To help us fund the sprint, please consider making a donation using the ChipIn widget on this page. We need money for airline tickets, hotel rooms, food and transportation. It would also be great to fly in a few additional people with extensive core and CCK experience.

I've tentatively worked out a budget of $7,000 USD, which covers flight, food and hotel costs for at least four people (Karen, Yves, and two additional people). Since Acquia is covering my travel expenses and allowing Barry to participate all week long, that gives us six people working on CCK-fields-in-core for an entire week. Any excess money will be used to add more people, or donated to the Drupal Association.

To guarantee that Yves and Karen can attend, Acquia is funding Yves' and Karen's hotel and airplane tickets if enough money can't be raised through donations. Acquia is also providing working space in our Andover office.

We'll try to allow people to participate in the sprint remotely, and provide a daily update on our progress. If you're interested and available to participate, join the Fields in Core group, enable e-mail notifications, and block time in your calendar between December 15 and December 19. We'll use the Fields in Core group to plan and to let you know how you can contribute and participate.

D6 installation profile for testing CCK date fields now available

I just released an install profile for D6 core that sets up a test site for trying out all the combinations of CCK date field configurations: CCK Date Testsite. I've discovered various bugs in Signup's handling of CCK date fields (and have been fleshing out bugs and limitations in DateAPI itself with KarenS's help). I was spending a lot of time just configuring a reasonable test site to try different combinations of CCK date field types (Date, Datestamp, vs. Datetime) and timezone handling (there are 5 different ways date fields can handle timezones). So, I quickly decided the time spent automating the test site would easily save me time in the long run. And, I hope this profile will be useful to other folks working with DateAPI and CCK date fields.
