Contributed Module Ideas
When a developer has an idea for a module, they are often not the only one with that idea.
By announcing module ideas here, this group aims to:
- Reduce module duplication. We can prevent two independent developers from writing separate, duplicate modules.
- Increase developer collaboration. We can get interested developers working together at an early stage of development.
- Improve module quality. Others can shape and improve the ideas, leading to a better module from the beginning (or, at the least, a better road map for future development.)
phpbb
This is an attempt to organize a group around the phpbb module. The module provides single sign-on and shared user profiles for Drupal and phpBB. It is not a complete integration or a close substitute for the built-in forums in Drupal.
You can use this group to get help with configuration issues or to compare notes on possible bugs. Patches are always welcome :)

I am hoping there is some untapped interest out there in getting Drupal to work with the new Apple iPhone.
Seems like it should be relatively simple to brew up an iPhone Drupal module to turn any given custom Drupal node into an iPhone App, this would have an amazing effect on the recognition of and distribution of Drupal itself, given that Apple figures to sell something like 10 million units the first year, and many of those people would be ripe to find a way to develop their own iPhone apps.

Panels
Panels 2 is a module that uses drag & drop to add content to layouts. It is designed as an API so that modules can use these displays to customize their own areas, and we're working toward fully integrating this solution into Drupal 7.

A good start point about Object Oriented Programmation (OOP) and drupal is this document from the drupal API
http://api.drupal.org/api/HEAD/file/developer/topics/oop.html
This group aims to put together some useful references about Object Oriented programmation and modelization with drupal. Sometimes drupalers have great discussion about OOP , for example on their blog or during conferences, and we try to report them in this group.
