DROP
DROP is a program dedicated to helping people find easy, short-term ways of making valuable contributions to Drupal, as well as helping them become a part of the Drupal community. DROP tasks are short, bite-sized tasks that are contributed by community members for DROP participants to tackle. DROP tasks always help the community, are always fun, and you can always learn something from them, no matter what your experience level with Drupal, be it an absolute beginner or a chx.
DROP stands for Drupal Rockin' Open Participation. See http://drop.cwgordon.com/node/13 for more information. For a list of open tasks, go to http://drop.cwgordon.com/tasks/open. To add a new task, go to http://drop.cwgordon.com/node/add/task.

User Points, the module, provides a method for users to accumulate points for performing certain actions on your site such as posting nodes, commenting or moderating a comment. It also provides an API that allows you to easily add other actions a user may perform to gain points. User Points combined with modules from User Points Contributed modules create a useful mechanism to incentive users to participate in the site, and be more active.

The Fields in Core working group aims to include CCK-like functionality in Drupal 7 and beyond. During the week of December 15, we're organizing a 5-day Fields in Drupal core code sprint at Acquia! To help us fund the sprint, please consider making a donation using the ChipIn widget on the announcement page. We need money for airline tickets, hotel rooms, food and transportation. It would also be great to fly in a few additional people with extensive core and CCK experience.
