I thought it would be best if we started a new discussion around the idea of starting a weekend meetup 1 day a month.

I know there is a good amount of interest in holding a weekend meetup, so we need to figure out a few things.

1. Location (Town/City)

   • Should this be around central ct, so that most people are traveling the same distance?

2. Venue / Facility

   • What type of venue is best?
   • Is WiFi available?
   • How available is parking?
   • Public vs. Private access?

3. Date / Time

   • Does either Saturday or Sunday work, or do people prefer one over the other?

Hi Folks - I work for a small marketing shop in Fairfield County. We are increasingly being called on to build client sites on Drupal and as a way to accelerate our knowledge we're looking for some training opportunities in the area.

Can you folks recommend a decent boot camp or training program in the CT / NY area for aspiring Drupal developers?

This month, our theme is Drupal vs. Joomla! vs. WordPress. If you would like to share your thoughts and expertise, then we have the platform for you! Just write up a short blog entry explaining the benefits or disadvantages of using one technology over the other two.

I posted this on the main drupal.org forum, but thought maybe someone locally has experience with this.

I'm trying to create a clickable link with Lighbox2 and contemplate. I have read all the posts, but can't get it to work. I just want to have text that says "Views slideshow" and opens the Lightbox slideshow. The link is on the main page of content so I am using Contemplate and modifying the link in the body area.

Here's what I have done:

field_image_gallery is the CCK field, a repeating field that is part of the content type.

I have a view that has an exposed filter based on a Date field, displaying just the year. It works great, except it shows the +3-3 year range so with 2011 as the central year, the list displays years 2008-2014. Problem is, there are no articles for 2008 nor for 20014. Does anyone know how to set this so that the only years that display are the years we have news articles for? I tried changing the Date Published field "Years back and forward:" to "-1:+1" but that didn't make any difference. I'm thinking this is a default in Drupal theme? any help would be appreciated.

I'd like to start planning a New Haven Drupal Group as several people have expressed interest. I can provide the location: 2 Whitney Ave New Haven, CT 3rd floor conference room. We need to talk about when. Wednesday works well for me and I don't think it conflicts with any of the other groups; correct me if I'm wrong. Please post your interest and if you think June 8th or 15th would work or any other ideas for scheduling... Also the preferred time... 6:00 pm?

Nancy Flowers-Mangs will be giving a talk at Yale entitled Talk about Drupal and Yale's Many Sites on Thursday, April 28th at 6:00pm at Yale University, Office of Public Affairs and Communications, 2 Whitney Ave New Haven, CT. Is anyone else from the Hartford area interested in attending and sharing a ride?
