Inserting fivestar widget in a view?
Hi -
So far I've implemented the advanced rating recipe with fivestar + votingapi + nodecomments. So far, I"ve been able to create a 'Store' object and configure cck, nodecomments & fivestar so a 'Review' object can be submitted and displayed after the main node content.
The 'Store' object has fivestar enabled and the 'Review' object has the fivestar widget as a cck field. So far so good.
Now, what I want to do (and this is where I'm running into problems) is to create a table view that will display the following fields:
Store name
Average rating 5star widget
Voting for a taxonomy term
Hi.
I have been looking for some time and either could not find what I want or completely missed it.
My site has predefined taxonomy terms which are used in a Story content type. On the each story page I would like to let a user (also anonymous one) the ability to mark a taxonomy term as fits to the node. Yes/No is enough, no need for a five-star like voting. Now, when a user goes to the page of the taxonomy term, there will be a block, naturally by a views query, that will sort the stories by the voting people gave to the said term.

I need to build a video contest site. User manolism has described here http://drupal.org/node/275649 a site he built with some custom modules. I do not yet have the ability to write my own module. I need to build a site where people can register, embed a YouTube or Google video, and selected one of 9 categories (entered as taxonomies). For this I am using the Video module, and have it working fine. I need to have registered users to vote for one video per taxonomy.

This project got selected in GSoC 2009. The abstract will be updated soon to reflect our latest plans.
Overview:
Vote Up/Down is a popular and widely used module for most of Drupal's voting requirements. The module was originally written way back in 2006 by Fredrik Jonsson (frjo). It is now maintained by me (lut4rp). I also ported the module to Drupal 6. This proposal aims to make Vote Up/Down the rockstar of all voting modules by accomplishing some very important pending tasks and feature requests.
Majority Judgement?
Hi,
I was wondering if any of you have experience of including majority judgement voting into your websites?
Could it be considered for a future feature for advanced poll?
Also, a few of us are looking to launch a new version of the World Parliament Experiment on a Drupal platform. If anyone's interested in getting involved, please get in touch or join us here.
There's going to be lots of advanced polling/voting features required!
Cheers

Are you heading out to vote this morning? Have you thought about how each of the parties support open source? The Greens's IT policy explicitly states a number of policies about encouraging Open Source in Business, Government and Education.
It's hard to beat that! Further; The Greens use Drupal and CiviCRM heavily in both their public-facing and internal systems -- their actions match their words. Go Greens!

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to host a meeting between a dozen or so members of my site next week.
At it's most basic, we want to be able to have an irc/skype type discussion, with everyone being able to make text-based contributions.
It seems like there's no stable way to do this through Drupal, with Chatroom being the most likely candidate but too unstable for important meetings (is it unfair of me to say that?). I'm looking into integrating flashchat but haven't gone down that route yet.
Read moreVoting API service
I just uploaded a stand-alone module that provides Services methods for the Voting API. This allows external applications to access and modify Voting API data for Drupal objects. For example, a Flash application could implement an interface for voting on nodes.
I've submitted this as a feature request to the Voting API project at:
http://drupal.org/node/241453
If you use the Voting API and Services, please help me test this and support its inclusion in future Voting API releases. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Hello people,
I've just finished developing Drigg 1.0.
http://drupal.org/project/drigg
The good news is that it uses the fantastic Voting APIs developed by Eaton (the manager of this group).
At the beginning, I had made the silly mistake of developing everything on my own -- thus developing the "simple_karma" module, where the only "simple" part was in its name...
Luckily, I realised what I had done, and spli the simple_karma module so that it would make a lot of sense and -- more importantly -- it would use the Voting API.

Hi
I am currently using voting_api + vote_up_down on the smartphone apps site. I'd like to let the anonymous users vote, but in such a way that each user (for example, each IP address) can vote only once per node.
Can it be somehow done with voting_api?
If it can almost be done, I am not afraid of some PHP programing to finalize it, but I'd like to get some guidance on where to start.
Best regards,
Artem.
