creating a simple previous and next navigation for node pages

Hi all,

I am working on finally bringing my blog over from wordpress, and I am really struggling to find an elegant solution for adding a simple previous and next navigation to my posts. I am using a basic story content type for the posts, and using the date module to modify/enter the date of the post.

I have looked at the date browser view plugin, but it seems overly complicated and looks like it might be overkill for what I am trying to do...

I found this post: http://drupal.org/node/37767, but it looks like it is talking Drupal 5,

Home link not marked Active in menu system

I am using OpenPublish 2.2 and I would added some child links under the Home link in the primary menu system. What I found is that the Home link is not marked active by the system when I am on the front page, so the "on" class isn't added to that link, so the child links aren't displayed unless you hover over the link. I would like them to show by default. I know that the main menu system is controlled by openpublish-menu.tpl.php in sites/all/modules/openpublish_core/openpublish_menu. Absolute Link Footer Navigation module

The SEO guru that I work with is a stickler for having absolute links in the footer navigation. I am not an SEO person, so I cannot verify the validity of this. However, I have created a module that let's you choose a menu to display in a block and outputs the links as absolute links.

Is this something that I should contribute OR is there something that already does this OR does anyone even care about absolute links in footer navigation?

Thanks,
Tom Camp

"Ovanliggande menyval" är väl en av Drupals mest oanvändarvänliga val? Rullgardinen blir extremt lång på stora sajter och hierarkin blir inte tydlig. Nu har vi på Happiness tagit fram ett alternativ, kolla in:

Quick links

Before developing a new module, does someone know if there's a module able to parse the body text, analyse it, find every h2, h3, h4, etc. and generate a "quick links" section (in form of an ordered list, or a select list) above the text (like wikipedia pages)?

How can I create an interactive check box style menu using gmap?

I would like to try and make an interactive menu using drupal and gmap that involves using check boxes. If you check a box, the markers show up on the map... this site is an example of the functionality I am trying to reproduce: http://www.wimaxmaps.org.
I'm not sure where I would build the check box form right now. would I use the menu system or what?
Has anyone tried anything like this?

Becky
