Hello all,
A public development version of drupalnigeria.org has been hosted on google code. Please checkout the latest build and get involved by collaborating with other "Drupal Champions" on the block. Use this group to submit your working copy. Project committers will definitely see your work and then commit changes to the dev site for testing. Moreso, once we see how prominent your contribution is, we will give you access to the repository.
Please stay updated to this group for more developments.

For those who are still stuck with Subversion but would like to be using Git, I wrote an article recently about using git-svn.

Now, with more seeding :-) Download here. Instructions here.
What's new:
- New Drush scripts for quickly configuring sites:
- - E.g. $ drush quickstart-create all --domain=example.dev
- - Configures DNS, apache, database, downloads code with drush make, and opens firefox to start installer.
- - To delete: $ drush quickstart-destroy all --domain=example.dev
- Fixed 9 bugs.
- Lots of tweaks and polish.
- Better documentation
- 600kbps upload pipe now to help with seeds. Prepped several seeders. (A generous offer to HTTP seed in the works)
(Sorry about the list format, drupal.org ate my ul's)
This is the best version yet. I'm starting a project next week on it, so hopefully, it will get better. If you have any experiences you want to share, or suggestions, drop me a not in the issue queue.
Happy Drupaling :-)

NetBeans and Subversion
Tonight at the Northern NJ Drupal meetup in Panera, Robbie had mentioned Netbeans. Subversion also came up during the discussion.
I found a subversion plugin for NetBeans, in case anyone is interested.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but one of the things that I would love is to have subversion support. My workflow involves creating new sites for dev work or testing, and I would be great if I could have each site be it's own setup instead of being installed as a multisite, and then have the code automatically added to a new subversion project. Then I can deploy the completed sites out to their respective servers from svn (or have aegir do this for me??? :) So has any discussion around these ideas happened yet?

We recently set up a public Subversion repo automatically tracking some of D.O. CVS. Module/theme selection is quite limited (~150 modules, 10 themes) -- more modules will be added upon request. We especially like using it with a private project repo and svn:externals, pulling in all the standard modules and their dependencies (e.g. devel+Krumo+FirePHP).
Please do give it a spin and let me know how you feel about it:

NYC Community Skillshare Idea: Subversion for Drupal?
I'm just wrestling with setting up subversion for the first time (slightly ashamed to admit to having put it off for so long) and thought this would be an interesting topic for a community skillshare afternoon one weekend, or perhaps an upcoming meetup.
Does anyone have any interest in either learning about this, or sharing their knowledge?

For anyone interested.
