Great Drupal Web Designers in the Waterloo Region
Hi everyone,
I'm a Drupal freelance programmer in Kitchener-Waterloo looking to build a network of great Canadian Drupal theme designers (individuals, not entire companies).
D.org profile: http://drupal.org/user/473174
If you are interested in working with me to create websites, please add your comments to this page.
How it would work is, if I come across a project that needs both back-end and front-end development, I will fully develop the backend and then ask you to create the Drupal theme and if they have a PSD, arrange the theme to match their desired look.
Cheers,
Yonas
Stop making base themes and start developing installation profiles!
Themes section is full of very powerfull and configurable themes.
This is very helpfull if you are building a big website with complex functionality but most of us just want to develop something that's already out there and be able to slightly alter it to bend our needs.
I'm suggesting to leave the abstract website developing strategy driven by base themes and start by picking a case study and make it work.
It will save us time and will help new users to dive in.
So...
1.Pick a case study
2.Install required modules
3.Build custom content types base on the entities requiried

They have a link to a Google Labs project here:

It's a simply web overlay that shows the percentage of visitors to your web site that may not be able to see the page without scrolling. They are using aggregated screen resolution statistics from visitors to google.com to calculate the percentages. This plays into the 'human side' of a site design in terms of placement of important buttons or items.

Hi South Africa,
I have a question, does anyone know of any companies that are offering a mixed bag of training options that would fit in well with someone going the php opensource direction of web design, something that will be well rounded, basic to advanced and not prohibitively expensive. well rounded being the operative word.

It is the eve of Drupal Camp Los Angeles and we're super excited. Those who aren't attending know that I'll be pushing to the crowds info about the Drupal.org redesign community initiative, which is turning out to be a great project to watch (or get involved).
